REPORT: New York Jets Pursuinɡ Huɡe Trаde In Tһe 2024 NFL Drаft

The New York Jets are looking to move in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The New York Jets come into the 2024 NFL draft with a ton of pressure to get their pick right at No. 10, but it appears they have other ideas in mind.

The New York Jets haven’t made headlines in the same way they did last offseason when they traded for Aaron Rodgers, but they all may change this month as ESPN is reporting that the team is interested in trading down to get more assets.

The report adds that the New York Jets have an interest in trading with a team that wants to move up for one of the quarterbacks that will be available around that selection.

Rich Cimini provided more details:

“What they’d really like is a trade proposal from a quarterback-needy team, which would allow them to acquire a top-100 pick. A handful of teams behind them, most notably the Minnesota Vikings (11th), Denver Broncos (12th) and Las Vegas Raiders (13th), might be motivated to move up.

It probably will be contingent on the availability of a top quarterback — Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy. Problem is, it’s unlikely that one of them will slip to 10. The Jets need Bo Nix to get so hot that a team wants to jump the crowd for him. A team also may covet the Jets’ pick as part of a leapfrog plan to a higher spot.”

So many quarterback-needy teams would love to have their pick and that could prove to be very beneficial for the New York Jets as they could use extra assets to add to the team in what could be the only full season they will have Aaron Rodgers who will be 41 years old and coming off an Achilles injury.

As they continue to rebuild their struggling offensive line from last season, the New York Jets will undoubtedly look to the upcoming NFL Draft to add depth and a huge trade can get them what they want.

New York Jets Looking To Rebound After Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles Injury

The Jets came into the 2023 season with Super Bowl aspirations and made all the necessary moves to ensure it would happen after trading for Aaron Rodgers.

Then, the veteran quarterback tore his Achilles four plays into the season and he was done for the year.

The Jets finished 7-10, but now Rodgers is good to go and the team is back to where they want to be months before the 2024 NFL season.
