The Bachelor’s Holly Kingston has updated fans on her pregnancy after being rushed to hospital due to complications.
The reality star, who fell in love with Jimmy Nicholson on the 2021 season of The Bachelor, announced the couple’s pregnancy in mid-June this year, sharing that their journey towards falling pregnant “wasn’t a walk in the park”.
Now the star has taken to Instagram to update fans on her condition, reassuring people that the baby is OK.
‘On the mend’: Holly’s sweet shoutout to Jimmy Nicholson
Saying that she’s spent the “last few days in emergency following a few complications” Holly gave a shoutout to her pilot husband, saying she’s now happy to be home with a healthy bub and on the mend.
“Times like these I realise my husband has certainly been trained to deal with stressful situations like an absolute pro,” Holly wrote. “He’s created a makeshift spew bag within milliseconds, delivered me nuggets on demand, and made me laugh when no one would think there’s not much to laugh about.”
Holly and Jimmy’s pregnancy journey
After sharing their initial pregnancy announcement with fans, Holly and Jimmy opened up more about their journey, sharing an emotional video of the day they found out about the news.
Set to Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ the footage shows Holly reacting to her positive pregnancy test alone in the bathroom before showing it to Jimmy. After taking a few seconds to process the news, Jimmy hugs his wife and bursts into tears.
Holly shared a lengthy caption alongside the video revealing that their journey to this positive result “certainly wasn’t a walk in the park”.
“Nothing could’ve prepared us for the lack of control, the pressure, the disappointment and overwhelming isolation that we felt,” she wrote. “Every time we saw one of these posts, no matter how happy we wanted to be for those on the receiving end… it stung.”
