In a recent Instagram post, Joey shared a video of himself after throwing out the first pitch at a Phillies game, which satisfied one of the items on his 30 things to do before turning 30 checklist. In the video, Kelsey is shown acting as a reporter in the press room at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, asking Joey just how he threw out the first pitch so well.

“Is it ‘cause you have a really great fiance,” Kelsey asked teasingly, sitting in the crowd as Joey sat up at the podium. Affirming Kelsey, Joey jokingly confirmed he was able to throw out the first pitch so well because he has a great fiance. The teasing, jokey demeanor of the pair was a great shift from the portrait often painted of the couple, making them seem like they’re in trouble.

Have Joey & Kelsey Turned The Tide On Relationship Backlash?

Is Their Relationship A Hit With Bachelor Nation

Joey and Kelsey’s relationship has been the center of major buzz in recent months, as Bachelor Nation found it difficult to see the couple lasting long-term. After some news broke about potential financial issues that Joey was having and a possible run on Dancing With The Stars that could push the couple apart, many were convinced that Joey and Kelsey weren’t going to last. Despite allegations that they were going to split, Joey and Kelsey continued sharing their lives with their followers and featuring each other on their Instagram pages. The Bachelor couple didn’t let the shade get them down.

While Kelsey and Joey were struggling after The Bachelor came to an end, the couple needed to learn how to connect after being on reality TV together. Though they found love, finding the same connection in their day-to-day lives likely wasn’t easy for the sweet pair. With the couple sharing their lives on social media and in interviews, it’s become clear that even with their ups and downs, Joey and Kelsey’s relationship is a strong one that they hope will last for the rest of their lives. As they continue to plan their future, the Bachelor couple are staying strong.

After The Bachelor season 28 came to a close, Joey and Kelsey were able to move into the next chapter of their lives without the omnipresence of cameras, microphones, or production staff. The couple have been able to change their interaction with the media, ensuring that they’re able to share when they want to, and stay private otherwise. With Joey and Kelsey working to maintain their sweet connection as time goes by, The Bachelor’s most recent couple may finally have Bachelor Nation on their side.
