Ariana Madix praised Scheana Shay for “help[ing] so many people” with her OCD advocacy – after Scheana recently suggested they weren’t as close, following their awkward season on Vanderpump Rules. Scheana also addressed rumors she could switch to the cast of The Valley, a spinoff focusing on parents.
Last season on Pump Rules, Scheana shared that she has OCD. She also had tension with Ariana, as Scheana was battling her desire to stay friends with Ariana’s ex Tom Sandoval, who cheated on her.
In a July 29 Instagram post, Scheana announced that she received IOCDF’s Illumination Award for OCD advocacy.
In the comments, Ariana offered her support.
“Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️,” she wrote. “It took so much strength for you to share and be vulnerable and it has helped so many people!”

During an episode of her podcast, Scheananigans, last month, Scheana addressed her strained relationship with Ariana following Vanderpump Rules season 11.
“I’m hoping with some time passing that we can get back to being the Spice Girls and maybe a long road to that,” she shared, adding that things have been “really difficult” to navigate following last season.
In more news, Scheana addressed the Pump Rules hiatus. For the first time since it began, the show will not be filming during the summer, and it’s unclear when or if it will return.
“I just went to London and the sun was out and I’ve never been in London when the sun is shining,” said Scheana in an interview with E! News. “To be able to vacation in the summer is really nice.”
Scheana hinted that “conversations” have been made about potentially filming again, but the show hasn’t made any official decisions.
“The Valley just started filming, so I can live vicariously through my Valley friends for the drama,” she said, hinting at season two of the Bravo spinoff. “But it’s nice to have a summer off.”
Scheana then addressed speculation that she and Lala Kent could cross over to the new show because they’re both parents.
“We’ll see,” she said, noting that the move would indeed make sense to her and her family. “The thing is with The Valley, these are my actual friends as well. This is my real friend group. These are more of my parent friends and Vanderpump Rules are more of my party friends.”
The Valley star Janet Caperna, also present in the interview, teased the new season’s drama.
“We’re in the midst of it and I think it’s gonna be crazy,” she explained. “It’s good—good and bad.”
