The Vanderpump Rules cast member, who is in her third trimester of pregnancy, was “really struggling” during her health scare.

Lala Kent is opening up about a scary health issue that she went through in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

The Vanderpump Rules cast member, who is due with her second daughter in early September 2024, revealed that she experienced numbness in her body at her baby shower, which she called a “Baby Monsoon” on July 14.

“My arms and legs went numb, and I could not breathe, and [it] took everything in me to not pass out and just make it to my bed,” Lala said on a July episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala. “I was trying to yell for my mom, but again, I was really struggling, and I was very, very concerned.”

At the time, Lala said she was showing one of the attendees her playroom when she experienced the numbness.

“I don’t know what happened. I’ve heard that she could be sitting weird, but I felt this overwhelming amount of guilt because I’ve been complaining a lot about my [body] aching and just wanting it to be done,” she continued.

Lala called her doctor once she got to her bed, but she resolved the issue on her own when she “positioned [herself] in a different way.”

“And all of a sudden I could breathe,” Ocean Kent Emmett’s mom continued. “[The baby] was definitely active. I said [to the doctor], ‘She hasn’t stopped moving. And he was like, ‘Oh, OK, I’m less concerned now.'”

Lala didn’t get a definitive answer on what exactly happened, but she suspected that the baby was just “positioned weird.”

After her health scare, Lala’s doctor told her to start taking more time to rest.

“He was like, ‘I really need you to start staying off your feet. Don’t overdo it during the day.’ Which I have been,” she concluded. “I think I’ve been overdoing it since [the] second trimester.”

Lala Kent’s pregnancy journey

The former SUR hostess announced her pregnancy on Instagram in March 2024. A few months earlier, in January, Lala revealed that she was going through Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) to conceive her second child.

After she confirmed her exciting pregnancy news, Lala held a sex reveal party — and she learned that she is having a baby girl.

She’s also picked out her daughter’s moniker, though she won’t publicly share exactly what it is (but she did tease that it will start with the letter “S”).

Since then, Lala has kept her fans up to date on the latest in her pregnancy, from her settling into her new family home in the Valley, to her putting her bump on display in a bikini, and on the red carpet.
