The Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2024 NFL Draft with five picks in the first three rounds. They have one pick in the first round, two in the second, and two in the third. The extra picks in the second and third round came via the Aaron Rodgers and Rasul Douglas trades.
With that much fire power, the Packers could easily move up in the first round or even trade for another first round draft pick.
Recently, Lukas Van Ness announced he was working out with a widely presumed 2024 First Round NFL Draft Pick.

Cooper DeJean, a very likely first round draft pick in this years’ draft, was working out with his former teammate Lukas Van Ness.
The two played together at Iowa in 2021 and 2022.
Van Ness was only 21 when the Packers selected him with the No. 13 pick, so he had to learn as he went as a rookie. This challenge was compounded by the former Iowa interior defensive lineman transitioning to an outside linebacker on the other side of the ball.
Van Ness’ athleticism was evident in his first NFL game when he chased down Chicago quarterback Justin Fields for his first career sack. However, putting the rest of the pieces together took longer. Cooper DeJean may be a different story.
The Packers Could Be Very Interested In Cooper DeJean
Keisean Nixon is the Packers’ nickel cornerback for three seasons, but they could use some more help at cornerback and safety. Due to his abilities to play on the boundary, in the slot, and in the box, Iowa cornerback Cooper DeJean may be an interesting pick for Green Bay. DeJean is one of the best defensive backs available in the draft.
DeJean’s draft profile is also fairly impressive:

His ability to adapt to various defensive roles, including special teams, positions him as a multifaceted asset for any NFL team. DeJean’s combination of physicality, instinctual play, and ball skills make him a nice addition to any secondary in today’s NFL.
May ultimately wind up being viewed as a safety rather than a corner and fall in the draft as a result.
