Recently, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green talked about Anthony Edwards on his podcast. He praised Edwards’ confidence, describing it as bordering on cocky. Green stated that he has no problem with Edwards’ near-cockiness and believes it will lead him to further greatness in his career.

Because the belief is actually one of the things that separate you. Because most people can’t reach that level of belief in themselves. Green also mentioned how stars like Stephen CurryLeBron James, and Kevin Durant are embracing Edwards as the next big thing in the NBA. At just 22 years old, Edwards has already proven his capabilities to fans and experts. In his last season, Edwards averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. In the playoffs, he elevated his game even further, proving that bright lights don’t affect him. Edwards is currently part of the stacked Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics, aiming to win his first gold medal.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant are leading Team USA and putting on a show every time they play. However, veteran analyst Skip Bayless tweeted on X that Anthony Edwards should be considered the Olympics MVP over James and Durant.

Bayless is known for hyping up one player at the expense of another. Edwards put on a show against Puerto Rico, leading Team USA with 26 points off the bench, earning a shout-out from the veteran analyst.

USA recently won their third group stage game against Puerto Rico and secured the top seed of the tournament. They are certainly the favorites to win it all as they head to the quarterfinals.
