Raheem Morris hypes up Falcons’ offensive potential in 2024

After spending the last few years building a talented core of young playmakers, the Atlanta Falcons offense is finally ready to take flight in 2024. Head coach Raheem Morris knew the team needed a top-level QB to reach its potential so Atlanta signed Kirk Cousins and drafted Michael Penix.

During an interview with NFL Network at Friday’s open practice, Morris was asked how the team’s offensive personnel compared to the Rams teams he coached in Los Angeles. While Morris declined to make comparisons, he couldn’t hold back his excitement about the offense.

“You know, you don’t compare players,” said Morris. “You just talk about the guys you have, and it’s exciting to see Bijan Robinson. Even just walking past him in the training room on his way getting ready to come out. Seeing Drake London behind me warming up doing some of those different things.”

Having a guy like Kyle Pitts and then being able to go get [Darnell] Mooney, a Ray-Ray McCloud, a Rondale Moore. All the guys that we have — Tyler Allgeier, and our offensive line up front on offense — with Kirk Cousins and being able to draft Michael Penix.”

The Falcons play their first preseason game on Friday when they take on the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. The team will head to Miami this week for two joint practice sessions with the Dolphins on Tuesday and Wednesday.
