Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra are no strangers to financial issues, particularly with taxes. Previously, the Teen Mom pair faced two separate tax liens totaling $535,010.97 and $321,789.06 each. Notably, they successfully paid the due off. Despite their past tax-related issues, it seems they are once again in financial trouble. Catelynn and Tyler currently owe over $5k in taxes for their $450,000 Michigan home.
They listed the historic home, built by Great Lakes Sea Captain George W. Smith in September 2023. However, despite being on the market for nearly a year, the property has not sold. TheSun recently revealed that the Michigan Register of Deeds Office filed a Certificate of Forfeiture of Real Property on March 1, 2024. Now, Catelynn and Tyler’s property is “forfeited to the Sanilac County Treasurer” for failing to pay property taxes for 2022.
Now, the Teen Mom couple must pay $5,007.72 owed to Sanilac County, Michigan, for the 2022 fiscal year, or they could permanently lose their home. Catelynn and Tyler could face foreclosure for their home if the couple fails to pay their tax dues by March 31, 2025. Notably, their Michigan home is 2,626 square feet, featuring three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It was originally listed at $454,000 but has since been reduced to $449,900.
