The injury bug has been tough for the Minnesota Vikings so far this year. They have lost two cornerbacks for the year and are still dealing with the injury suffered by T.J. Hockenson at the end of the 2023 season.
During practice on Saturday, the Vikings saw defensive end Jerry Tillery carted off the field after he was down for a significant amount of time. It appeared to be an ankle injury in real time and it could have been a longer-term injury.
According to ESPN’s Kevin Seifert, that doesn’t appear to be the case. The team told Seifert that Tillery was cleated in the leg.

That is really good news for the Vikings, especially since their defensive line is the weakest position on the team. We don’t know for sure when Tillery will return to practice, but this news makes it seem like he will be back rather quickly.
