Former Mavericks rival predicts Luka Doncic will surpass insane LeBron James record

Heading into tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, the Dallas Mavericks are 45-30 on the year with their most recent game being a loss on the road to the Golden State Warriors.

Luka Doncic Does His Magic Vs LeBron James As Mavericks, 59% OFF

Dallas had won seven games in a row before this, and regardless of their last game, they are still one of the hottest teams in the NBA. Luka Doncic is taking this team to new heights, and his chemistry with Kyrie Irving is on another level.

Dallas’ role players such as Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington, and Derrick Jones Jr. are also making their impacts felt, but this Mavericks team will only go as far as Doncic takes them. He is playing like the best player in the league right now, and the rest of the NBA is taking notice of the Slovenian superstar.

Former Mavericks rival predicts Luka Doncic will surpass insane LeBron James record

In an exclusive interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire was asked if he thinks anyone can pass Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James’ record of 40,327 points that continues to rise in every game that he plays in. This seems like one of the NBA’s most unbreakable records, but Stoudemire thinks someone could break James’ impressive record.

Stoudemire predicted that Doncic could be someone who breaks the 40,000 points plateau, and this is a massive honor considering how impressive this record is. James has been able to reach this threshold due to his longevity and elite level of play into his late thirties, and Doncic has a good shot of breaking it if he can stay healthy and has a lengthy career.

Stoudemire is someone who dominated the Mavericks in the 2005 NBA Playoffs (subscription required) and was a rival of the team during the early parts of his career. He clearly respects Doncic and his game, but this won’t be an easy record to break.

Doncic has already scored 11,340 points in his career, and James may need to watch out considering that he isn’t even in his prime yet. LeBron always praises Luka when he gets the chance, and only time will tell if he can break one of the NBA’s craziest and most unbreakable records held by one of the greatest players ever.

For all the latest on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks this season, stay tuned.
