Fans of The Walking Dead are thrilled to see the latest instalment of the franchise makes its UK debut. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the latest spin-off from the hit horror series and follows fan favourite Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) as he washes up on the shores of France.
Known for his crossbow and motorbike, Daryl finds himself on the continent after being kidnapped from America for reasons unknown. After managing to escape the ship he was brought onto, Daryl finds himself in the country that’s home to the source of the zombie outbreak and in need of a way home.
Like Daryl Dixon, the opening season is finally airing on Sky and available to stream on Now TV. But what is the future of the show? We find out below and beware of spoilers.
Is there a season two of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon?
Season two was announced before season one was broadcast, with network AMC keen to explore Daryl Dixon’s story and expand The Walking Dead universe. Season two will have the subtitle of The Book of Carol to reflect Melissa McBride’s return as Carol Peletier for season 2.
The Book of Carol will focus on Carol travelling to France to look for Daryl and their eventual reunion. Daryl will continue to struggle with his decision to remain in France as political leader Genet enjoys momentum as Pouvoir des Vivants and the Union of Hope clash.
When will season two of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon air in the UK?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol will first air in the US on AMC and AMC+ at 9pm on September 29, 2024.
As part of the new deal with Sky, season two will air on Sky Max and NOW in the UK in October 2024. The broadcaster has not yet announced an exact release date.
Season one is being aired every Thursday at 9pm on Sky Showcase and Sky Max and the entire series is currently available to binge watch on Now TV and Sky Go.

Norman Reedus will lead the series as Daryl, while Melissa McBride will return following her cameo at the end of season one.

According to AMC, there will be six episodes in the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, with the series focusing on Daryl’s desperate bid to survive in France and familiar faces trying to find him.
