Minnesota Vikings bring 3 wide receivers in for workouts on players’ day off

The Minnesota Vikings haven’t stopped looking for talent to bring in and they won’t be doing so anytime soon.

According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Vikings brought in three wide receivers for workouts: Deon Cain, Justin Hall and Dax Milne.

Cain and Hall both come from the UFL with the former having played for the Birmingham Stallions and the latter the Houston Roughnecks. Milne was a seventh-round pick of the Washington Commanders in 2021 and was just released by the team last week.

Cain was a standout at the University of Clemson before the Indianapolis Colts selected him in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Despite having the size and speed of a traditional X receiver, he never caught on in the NFL, catching just nine passes for 124 yards in 15 career NFL games.

Hall was a standout at Ball State before going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. Hall tried to catch on with the Las Vegas Raiders but got released at final cuts. He caught on with the Houston Gamblers of the USFL in 2023 and stayed on to play for the UFL’s Roughnecks.

Milne was a standout at BYU before being selected by the Commanders. He played in 28 games for the Commanders, starting in two of them. He caught 40 passes for 311 yards while also returning 15 kickoffs for 300 yards in 2022.

Is this a sign for anything other than adding a camp body? Probably not, especially since the wide receivers have been good so far during training camp.
