Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan just proved she is the best in the business

The Las Vegas Raiders may not have had a great product on the field in the last 20 years — the length of time that their last playoff win came, but they have always been a respectable, upfront, reliable, and just all-around good franchise.

They hire people who care, and they help their fans almost more than any other team. I mean, there is a reason they have the most diverse fan base in the NFL. That’s by no mistake. The Raiders know what they’re doing when it comes to being a good franchise, off of the field anyway.

Another key example of that was the hiring of President Sandra Douglass Morgan, the first female African American President in the NFL. And, they didn’t give her the job to be the first to do it, they did it because she knows what the heck she’s doing, and she’s the best in the business.

She had another example of that on Tuesday — one of many since she has been in the front office.

We all know the UNLV Rebels share the same stadium as the Raiders for gamedays when the Runnin’ Rebels are at home. However, they do have their own practice facilities, and they are very nice, some of the best in their conference, if not the best. However, they do not currently have an indoor practice field like the Raiders do.

If you live in Las Vegas or have been there the last few weeks, or even the last month, you know the temperatures outside have been brutal. I’m almost certain it got up to 120 degrees one day.

So, with the Raiders in Southern California for training camp, Sandra Douglass Morgan invited the Rebels to use the Raiders practice facility for the time being, which is just an awesome thing to do during this brutal summer.

She is continually making great decisions that not only greatly impact the Raiders, but the community as well. It’s clear the team made the perfect decision in taking her on as the President.
