Steph Curry on board with Warriors’ offseason moves despite missing out on star targets, NBA Insider reveals

The Golden State Warriors have missed out on another star trade target in Lauri Markkanen . The Utah Jazz forward has now signed a five-year, $238 million contract extension to stay with the team. This follows a summer where the Warriors were linked to several high-profile players. Nevertheless, they have failed to land an established second option alongside Steph Curry .

Despite this, Steph Curry is reportedly excited about the moves the Warriors have made. This includes the additions of Kyle Anderson Buddy Hield , and De’Anthony Melton. ESPN’s Kendra Andrews states Curry and Draymond Green trust the team’s offseason decisions as long as they remain competitive.

Curry is currently focused on leading Team USA to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Team USA will face Nikola Jokic and Serbia in the semifinals. Once he returns, he will begin preparing for his 16th NBA season. The Warriors will look to bounce back from a playoff-less campaign last year.

The Warriors’ failure to land a star-level player this summer may raise concerns about their ability to compete with the league’s top teams. However, with Curry and Green on board with the team’s moves, Golden State will look to prove that their roster tweaks can make a significant impact next season.

Draymond Green reveals Steph Curry’s intense feud with Andrew Nembhard

Draymond Green recently shed light on a surprising feud between Steph Curry and Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard. According to Green, Curry has a personal issue with Nembhard stemming from a game in the 2022-23 season. During the game, Nembhard’s trash talk and tough shots got under Curry’s skin.

Green revealed on Jeff Green’s Club 520 podcast that Curry takes great offense to Nembhard’s behavior and has a strong dislike for him. This intensity is unusual for Warriors star Steph Curry, who is not typically known for holding grudges or getting motivated by personal rivalries.

If you go back to the 2022-23 season, which would be Nembhard’s rookie year, right? If you go back and watch the game when we played the Pacers in the bay, Nembhard gave us hell… And he was talking so crazy, and Steph was guarding him, and the shots he was hitting, Steph would just turn and look like, ‘Yo what?’ Draymond Green via Club 520

The revelation has sparked curiosity, as it’s clear that this feud has added a new layer of intensity to their matchups. Green hinted that it may be a long-standing issue, and fans will watch closely to see how it plays out in future games between the Warriors and Pacers.
