Patrick Mahomes Hiding His True Feelings, as Chiefs QB Predicted to Rip Up NFL World Over Top 100 Disrespect, Per Nick Wright

Despite achieving so much success in the NFL, winning back-to-back Super Bowls, and more, Patrick Mahomes is drawing a surprising amount of disrespect! However, he’s good at keeping a poker face. Mahomes won’t take a sly jibe at his adversaries. Rather, he will show them what he can do on the field.

Off the mountaintop? Why Patrick Mahomes no longer tops Nick Wright's QB tiers | FOX Sports

If you think his chances of 3-peating are dwindling, think again. The Kansas City Chiefs QB is fueled with a vendetta against half the league because he just got voted 4 overall by his peers. His answer to that was a nonchalant: “It is what it is.” This calm before the storm is the reason why Nick Wright thinks Mahomes is going to set the league on fire this year.

Despite the QB’s façade, Nick Wright of First Things First thinks that this snub bothers Mahomes deeply. Mahomes had an ‘I’m so tired of it’ face in his recent presser and it was the face we saw him making the last time when the Raiders dissed his Kermit look-a-likeness. He’s letting it all build up. Wright was sure Mahomes will put up his best season just because he’s angry inside.

Wright, who bragged about playing poker with the big shots, said that he’s good at reading people’s face and so, wanted to figure out Mahomes’ poker face. What’s the best way to do it? Playing the pressers side by side and watch the QB’s expressions. Here’s what his conclusion was: “He wants to say something and can’t say it. He just shakes his head left and right. He is preventing himself from saying what he really wants. He’s not being funny like he is sometimes with the media. He’s just shaking his head.”

“I watched this entire press conference and then I re-watched the Kermit the Frog one and the only time he does that [shaking his head], is when he’s not saying what he wants to say. So, it definitively bothers him, and it also definitively helps the Kansas City Chiefs,” added Wright.

Mahomes’ expression was something that Nick Wright had seen before. Or rather something that reminds him of Mahomes’ bad times. The analyst wasn’t just saying this because he’s a Chiefs super fan. He also had facts to back his argument.

NFL players snubbing Patrick Mahomes is actually a good thing…

Here are some interesting things about Mahomes being robbed of the first spot in the past. Entering 2019 season, Mahomes was 4 in top 100. How did he reply? By winning the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. 2020 season was the same, he was 4, reached Super Bowl, but lost to Brady’s Bucs. But here’s the kicker.

Entering 2021, Mahomes was 1, but reached the AFC Championship game and lost to Burrow’s Bengals. That was the year when Rams won the Super Bowl. But come 2022 Mahomes was ranked 8 and guess what he did? He beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Last year, he was first and won the Super Bowl against the Niners again. Can you see the pattern?

Chiefs’ fans can rejoice that Mahomes has a vendetta against everyone. He might bounce back even harder. He won a Super Bowl with a bad receiver core. Now he has Rice, Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy. His BFF Travis Kelce is there to back him too. What could go wrong?

It’s not just us saying this. Wright has a similar train of thoughts. He raved about Mahomes’ 2022 season and made a case about why he is supreme. “He had playoff and regular season combined 6,300 yards. In just the regular season, the all-time NFL record for total yards. 52 touchdowns, 13 picks. A nearly flawless season…..That was the last time he was truly doubted….there’s an extra chip on his shoulder and I know it bothers him and I think it helps the Chiefs.”
