Weather report and other notable details about preseason Week 1
Four Jaguars starters won’t play against the Chiefs due to injuries, but Jags HC Doug Pederson is cut from the same cloth as Andy Reid. He’ll play the majority of his starters at the onset of the game, just as Reid does to practice and get some good reps on tape to evaluate.
This game is trending toward being quite the wet one at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. It’ll be hot and humid with a high of 91 degrees. They expect Scattered Thunderstorms in the evening and a 50% chance of precipitation. Keep in mind that the NFL will put the game in weather delay should there be lightning in the area. They actually ended up canceling the Hall of Fame game due to the weather conditions.
