Jerry Jones walks back comments, says CeeDee Lamb is missed by Dallas Cowboys

In the history of the English language there has never been a “lol” felt more abruptly than the one sent by CeeDee Lamb this past week.

Lamb authored his laugh out loud in response to an apparent quote by Dallas Cowboys owner, president and general manager Jerry Jones. A tweet noted that Jones said there was not a sense of urgency with regards to getting Lamb signed to an extension and therefore back around his teammates (read here for the full context of the quote) and Lamb seemed to take issue with it.

Jerry Jones' bottom line with Cowboys trumps all - Yahoo Sports

Appearing in public for the first time since then on Sunday before his team takes on the Los Angeles Rams in the preseason, Jerry Jones apologized. Sort of.

Jerry noted how much the team appreciates CeeDee and kind of walked back the original line (assuming you took it the way CeeDee did).

As the Cowboys are officially beginning the preseason they are now deep into training camp and the team has yet to get an extension done with Lamb or either one of his teammates in Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons.

Needless to say, the clock continues to tick.
