Dodgers’ James Outman Makes Exciting Announcement on Social Media

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman and his wife, Dasha, are expecting a child. The couple posted the news on Instagram Thursday, with a photo of the two that featured Dasha holding a sonogram.

Dasha announced the news with the caption, “We’re changing our names to Mom and Dad! ? Baby Outman coming soon! We can’t wait to meet you!”

This is a huge addition for the Outmans, who got married in Dec. 2022 after years of dating. The announcement also comes at the beginning of Outman’s second full season in the major leagues. After initially making his major league debut in July 2022, the Dodgers’ seventh-round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft made the team’s Opening Day roster for the first time in 2023.

That proved to be a huge step for Outman, who played in just four major league games in 2022. In his first full season, Outman hit .248 with 23 home runs, 70 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.

Outman is hitting .129 (4 for 31) in nine games in 2024. This is certainly not the start Outman wanted this year, and he’ll look to build off of it in the Dodgers’ coming games.

Outman and the Dodgers next face the Chicago Cubs on Sunday.
