Are tһe NY Jetѕ gettіng аn unfаіr rаp іn tһe medіа?

The New York Jets have done much to upgrade their key areas of need
Surprise, surprise: the national media is hating on the New York Jets.

Personalities from Stephen A. Smith to Dan Orlovsky have major doubts about the team’s ability to contend in 2023.

How fair is that, though, considering the offseason Joe Douglas has put together thus far? The Jets had clear needs on the offensive line and at receiver, and they addressed those holes with quality players across the board. Throw in a top edge rusher and Douglas should be basking in praise rather than doubt.

Still, for a team with the longest postseason drought in professional sports, the criticism will be warranted until they prove the doubters wrong. And, according to Jet X co-founder Robby Sabo — it’s best that way.

Robby joined The Score Boord podcast to discuss the Jets’ offseason and their remaining needs. He also brought novel draft analysis, including breaking down his projected Jets draft big board and highlighting ideal fits for the Jets’ approach and scheme.

In this episode, you’ll find the discussion of a variety of Jets-related topics, including:

  • Why the Jets may have drafted Will McDonald in 2023 rather than taking a receiver
  • How that same approach might influence their pick in 2024
  • Which offensive linemen Douglas may be looking at more closely than the media thinks
  • The MetLife turf and its influence on injuries, and how that will affect Aaron Rodgers and Alijah Vera-Tucker
  • How much blame Douglas deserves for previous decisions that did not work out

As usual, Jets fans, write in your thoughts and questions for future episodes, and we’ll try to address them. I’ll hit a thorough salary cap breakdown in a few weeks for those who asked.

Thanks for tuning in to The Score Boord podcast!
