TRENDING: Dаllаѕ Cowboyѕ Record Holder Cаllѕ Out Former Heаd Coаcһ Jаѕon Gаrrett; ‘I wаѕ told Coаcһ Gаrrett Dіdn’t Lіke Me’ – REPORT – 2024 Offѕeаѕon

The Dallas Cowboys, owners of their top three draft picks, will look to continue to bolster their roster in an attempt to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1995. Dallas posted a stellar 12-5 record in 2023, their third straight double-digit winning campaign. However, they have only one playoff win during that span, which is a massive disappointment for a franchise with huge ambitions.

The recent dissatisfaction from the Cowboys is not a one-off, with the NFC Club losing three divisional-round matchups from 2014 to 2018. Like the current rendition of Jerry Jones’ franchise, those Dallas teams possessed a lethal air raid attack led by quarterback Tony Romo and wideout Dez Bryant. However, Bryant took to Twitter (also known as X) on Wednesday, claiming that then-head coach Jason Garrett limited his playmaking ability, thus limiting the ceiling on the Cowboys. Ezoic

Former Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant: Sounds Off on Jason Garrett

Longtime Dallas Cowboys wideout Dez Bryant, the franchise’s all-time leader in receiving touchdowns, has been busy on social media lately. He, in particular, has been calling out his former club for their ‘unwillingness’ to pay star players. He again went viral on Tuesday, taking aim at former head coach Jason Garrett.

“I remember my first practice as a rookie with the vets. I torched all of (them), both cornerbacks fresh off Pro Bowls. I remember it like yesterday. I had a real-life showtime mentality. Coach Garrett hated the swagga. I’d catch a one-handed pass in practice, and he would literally yell at me like I did it on purpose. How in the hell can I catch a one-handed pass on purpose with a defender draped all over me?” said Bryant via Twitter.

Bryant references corners Terrence Newman and Mike Jenkins, each fresh off stellar campaigns amid Bryant’s rookie season. The duo combined for eight interceptions and 37 passes defended.

Bryant continued, saying, “Before I was drafted, I was told coach Garrett didn’t like me. Folks don’t know half of the (expletive) I had to deal with. Like I said, I did more with a lot less. True story!”

Dez Bryant: Stellar NFL Career

Bryant played with the Dallas Cowboys for eight seasons, all under head coach Jason Garrett. Bryant, the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft, played well during his first two seasons before exploding for 92 receptions, 1,82 yards, and 12 touchdowns in 2012. The Oklahoma State product made his first Pro Bowl in 2013, snagging 93 passes for 1,233 yards and 13 touchdowns. Bryant led the NFL in touchdown receptions the following season with 16. He also has 88 catches for 1,320 yards while making his first and only All-Pro team.

Injuries quickly derailed Bryant’s career, and he missed ten games from 2015 to 2016. He returned to full strength in 2017, his final season with Dallas. With second-year starter Dak Prescott, he collected 69 receptions for 838 yards and six scores. After missing the next two seasons with injury, Bryant played his final season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020
