The Detroit Lions are showing a lot of interest in cornerbacks during the draft process. Especially the Alabama ones. The Lions had a formal meeting with Kool-Aid McKinstry at the NFL Combine and then had Brad Holmes went to his pro day before the Lions had him in for a top-30 visit. Now they’re showing interest in his teammate Terrion Arnold

Arnold is one of the tippy top cornerbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft. For reference, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler has Arnold ranked as his number one cornerback in The Beast draft guide that he released Wednesday. McKinstry is his fifth ranked cornerback.
The Lions should absolutely have a shot at McKinstry with the 29th pick, but Arnold is going to require that they trade up if they really love him. He’s expected to go as high as the top 15.
Right now it seems like a lock that the Lions will draft at least one of these Alabama corners and continue their love of Alabama guys. The Lions have drafted Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs and Brian Branch in the last two drafts. Brad Holmes sure does love him some Alabama football.
