Philadelphia Eagles fans are questioning a deal the front office made to give their No. 2 wide receiver a $75 million extension. The Eagles announced the deal before the start of their offseason workout program on Monday.

The #Eagles have paid another big-time, rising player. This time, WR DeVonta Smith gets a 3-year, $75M contract extension that includes $51M guaranteed, sources say.

Smith is set to make as much per year as his teammate, A.J. Brown, who is playing a four-year $100 million contract. Smith’s new contract appears to keep his future with the team intact as the Eagles navigate what to do with a talented but dramatic Brown.
Eagles fans react to the deal
Eagles fans were polarized by the deal. Some are excited Smith will by with Philadelphia for the next few seasons. Others think the Eagles seriously overpaid the 25-year-old wideout. Here are the best reactions to Smith’s extension.
