Dalvin Cook Staying Close by Amid Cowboys Rumors

The Dallas Cowboys need a starting RB and free agent Dalvin Cook is making it known he’s available.

The Dallas Cowboys have been extremely quiet this offseason. They have watched as playmakers have left town and RB Tony Pollard is one of the main difference makers who left.

Pollard left the Cowboys and joined the Tennessee Titans, leaving a hole at tailback. There are some veteran options still available and Dalvin Cook is one of them.

The former Florida State product is still a free agent and has been working out in Houston with trainer Justin Allen during the offseason.

In a clip on X, Cook says, “I’m still Dalvin Cook, I’m still that guy.”

Cook has recently expressed his desire to join the Cowboys and has been working out close by.

Cowboys News: Dalvin Cook Has Been Working Out in Houston

Last year wasn’t the best for Cook. He played for both the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens but struggled to make an impact. He finished with 331 rushing yards and zero touchdowns.

One positive for Cook though is his legs are fresh due to the lack of carries he received in 2023.

Across his seven-year career, the four-time Pro Bowl selection finished with 6,207 rushing yards and 47 rushing scores. He also brought in 1,872 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.

The Cowboys already have Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn on the roster but Cook would give them a proven veteran in the backfield. It won’t likely cost much to bring him into town as well.

Cook has interest in the Cowboys but let’s see if the feeling is mutual.

Regardless of Dallas being quiet this offseason, they have one of the best rosters in the NFL. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Cowboys have the fifth-highest odds (+1300) to win the Super Bowl. If you like these odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and take advantage of your sign-up bonus.
