Luckily for the Dodgers, an MRI revealed no structural damage to his shoulder. The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya was the one to break the news.

The hope is that this injury won’t keep Miller out for too long. The Dodgers built their starting rotation with injuries in mind, giving them some margin of error for situations like this.
So far in 2024, Miller has pitched in 11.2 innings and holds an ERA of 5.40. He has struck out 18 batters over his three starts.
Feyereisen has only pitched in one inning this season for the Dodgers, posting an ERA of 27.00. He allowed three runs to the San Diego Padres during the Seoul Series. He was optioned to Triple-A but was expected to be a big part of the Dodgers rotation this season and now will be given more of a chance.
Brogdon was recently acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for left-hander Benony Robles. He has pitched one inning with Los Angeles, giving up two runs against the Minnesota Twins.
Ramirez was acquired earlier this season from the New York Yankees for cash considerations. He has yet to pitch this season in the major leagues.
