The Philadelphia Eagles just got significantly better.
Saquon Barkley’s addition gives this team a whole new dimension, and they’re going to be a problem to deal with next season.
As a matter of fact, the common sentiment within the organization is that they now have the best running back in the game.
At least, that’s how WR Parris Campbell seems to think.
As reported by Word On The Birds, Campbell claimed that as much as people might think that Christian McCaffrey is better, getting the chance to see Barkley up close has proven him otherwise (via Dov Kleiman).
“I know there’s a bunch of debate between him and Christian McCaffrey. And don’t get me wrong, Christian McCaffrey’s by far one of the best RB’s in the league. But being able to see Saquon up close and personal, being in the same locker room, on the same team, man, he’s a different guy when he’s on that field, honestly,” Campbell said.
Eagles WR Parris Campbell says that Saquon Barkley is the best RB in the #NFL and he’ll prove it this season:

He didn’t mean that as a shot at McCaffrey by any means, but he believes that Barkley is the superior player.
Needless to say, Christian McCaffrey has been the best running back in the game for two years straight, and his pass-catching abilities make him the most dynamic weapon as well.
Then again, that doesn’t mean Barkley isn’t a difference-maker.
He was also the best running back in the game at one point in his career, and he’s always been very productive when healthy.
Just like what happened with McCaffrey earlier in his career, he just needs to prove that he can stay on the field.
Still, Barkley will now play behind the best offensive line he’s ever played with, and he’s also going to have the best supporting cast of his career.
Barring injury, we could be looking at a career-best season by the Penn State product, and it’ll be interesting to see who’s got the better numbers at the end of the campaign.
