Former New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate didn’t enjoy his two-year stint (2019-2020) with the team.
Tate only won 10 games in two years, including six wins in 2020 under a new head coach. He knew right away that Joe Judge wouldn’t make it.
“My last year was during the COVID year and that just sucked because we had to play about every single game with no fans in the stadium so it felt like a scrimmage, it sucked,” Tate said on Instagram. And on top of that I had one of the Patriots descendants come on over, Joseph Judge, who thought he could remake the wheel by trying to do everything like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and it did not fly.”
Judge had a disastrous two-year tenure (2020-2021) with the Giants. After winning just four games in 2021, he was fired. He made bizarre in-game decisions. Former Giants wide receiver Alex Bachman recently said “he thought he was concussed” when he heard one of the play calls because it didn’t make any sense.
Before the 2022 season, Judge re-joined Belichick’s staff in New England. After the Patriots parted ways with Belichick this offseason, Judge was not retained on the new staff. Ole Miss hired Judge in April to be a senior analyst.
