EXCLUSIVE: “Tһe Moѕt Feаred Lіnebаcker In Tһe Leаgue” Jetѕ Defenѕіve Stаr Quіncy Wіllіаmѕ Sаyѕ He Wаntѕ To Be Remembered Aѕ One Of Hаrdeѕt Hіttіng Defenderѕ In NFL

Since making his NFL debut in 2019, Quincy Williams has evolved into one of the league’s elite linebackers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled of one of the steals of the 2019 draft when they selected the talented Alabama native with the 98th overall pick. Several NFL teams may now be regretting the decision to pass on the defensive star.

Now with the New York Jets, Williams is making his presence felt on one of the most loaded defensive rosters in the AFC. The Jets may have finished the 2023 season with an underwhelming 7-10 record, but Robert Salah’s team boasted one of the most stingy defenses in the league. New York ranked second in the league in 2023 in pass yard allowed per game (168.3) and third in total yards allowed per game (292.3). A big part of that success was due to Williams work ethic, desire, speed and power.

In a recent interview with Overtime Heroics Senior Editor Reggie Roberts, Williams opened up on a variety of topics including his music preferences, his passion for art and his recent travels to Europe. With regards to football, the linebacker was asked want he wanted his football or life legacy to be, and had an interesting response.

“I want to be remembered for being one of the hardest hitters in the league…the most feared linebacker in the league,” stated Williams.

If the 27-year-old’s goal is to be feared, he is off to a great start. Williams and the Jets defense was relentless and fierce last year. The linebacker finished the season with 2 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, four quarterback hits and an interception. He was rewarded for his hard work by being named a First Team All-Pro for the first time in his career.

The Jets have added some key pieces during the offseason to compliment Williams, and with four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers returning, there is a lot of buzz surrounding the franchise going into 2024.
