The Kansas City Chiefs are all set to play their first preseason game of the year on Saturday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the team’s revamped offense started to hit its stride during training camp practices this week.
Footage of the team’s new-look offense has captivated Kansas City’s fans over the last few weeks, and the performance of rookie Louis Rees-Zammit caught the attention of former Chiefs tight end Jason Dunn, who featured the former rugby star in a breakdown on Twitter.
Check out what the 11-year veteran had to say about the Welshman’s progression in St. Joseph ahead of Kansas City’s preseason kickoff:
There’s something else on this return that caught my eye👀Watch LRZ’s pursuit and angle! He starts on the left side of the screen about 20 yards from Hardman and then closes with speed on the tag off. Great display of where his Speed and Tracking is valuable in the open field and… pic.twitter.com/OmmQQgZSH5

Though Rees-Zammit is still learning the game of football and getting his sea legs in the NFL, his development at practices is impressive, especially given his status as a first-year player.
Expect to see more from Rees-Zammit and the Chiefs’ other rookies on Saturday when the defending champions face the Jaguars.
