Former Hilltopper, and most recently Ole Miss Rebel, Jamarion Sharp has signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks.
On Friday, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and the NBA on TNT reported that Sharp will sign with the Dallas Mavericks. Sharp went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but signed on to play in the summer league with the Mavs, and during his summer league play, he totaled 13 blocked shots and was a force in the paint.
Sharp played two season at WKU before transferring to Ole Miss for his final year in college. He had career averages of 6.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game. During his time in college, he led college basketball in blocks twice and was the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year both years at WKU.
The deal he signed with the Mavericks is likely to be a training camp deal only so they can have his rights for the G-League. The Mavericks have all of their main roster and two-way spots filled for next season.
