Former Pһilаdelpһiа Eаɡles lаnd on United Footbаll Leаɡue rosters

It isn’t as exciting as gearing up for a Philadelphia Eagles game. It isn’t as exciting as heading out to a Birds game to tailgate. Still, if you need something to do while suffering through what we expect to be another early 76ers exit from the NBA Playoffs, there’s this UFL thing. Have you heard? The USFL and XFL have joined forces. It looks like spring football is here to stay.

Hopefully 162 Phillies games will lead us to another Red October. We’ll be watching. We’ll also be watching our phones and tablets to see if there are any Eagles updates ahead of the NFL Draft. Yes, friends… We’ll even be watching the UFL.

Hey, it’s football, and we’re junkies.

If you’re looking for another reason to watch the UFL, there are 15 former Eagles that you can cheer for.
Well, the Philadelphia Stars are gone again. If memory serves correctly, this is the second time that has happened. With the merger of two spring leagues, the City of Brotherly Love’s squad didn’t make the cut.

The UFL teams are as follows. The Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers make up the USFL Conference. The Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, San Antonio Brahmas, and St. Louis Battlehawks make up the XFL Conference.

Well, at least Saint Louis didn’t lose another professional football franchise.

15 former Eagles have found their way onto UFL rosters. Here’s a look at some familiar faces if you’re looking for guys to cheer for.

Reid Sinnett, QB, Houston Roughnecks
Luis Perez QB, Arlington Renegades
Alex Elliss TE, D.C. Defenders
Hakeem Butler, TE, St. Louis Battlehawks
John Hightower, WR, Michigan Panthers
Deontay Burnett, WR, Arlington Renegades
Deon Cain, WR, Birmingham Stallions
Devin Ross, WR, Michigan Panthers
Vinny Papale, WR, Memphis Showboat
Chim Okorafor, OL, Michigan Panthers
Kobe Smith, DT, St. Louis Battlehawks
Marvin Wilson, DT, Birmingham Stallions
Ajene Harris, CB, Arlington Renegades
The first UFL season is underway. Give it a watch if you have some time.
