Right now, we don’t know how much the Vikings will play any of their starters. It would behoove them to play the offense for a series or two so quarterback Sam Darnold can get an opportunity to get his bearings underneath him. While he’s technically in a quarterback competition with McCarthy, it’s not the same as it is in Las Vegas.
The Raiders are expected to play both Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew around a quarter apiece. That is a true competition, one of the only ones in the National Football League. How they play will be one of the biggest storylines in the game.
Vikings football is nearly back people.
