Jake Paul has attempted to end his feud with UFC boss Dana White.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been locked in a war of words with White ever since he accused him of underpaying and generally mistreating the fighters on his roster.
Paul traded barbs with the MMA mogul through the media and even aimed a diss track at White at the height of their feud in January 2022 – but things have died down since then.
White recently risked restarting the rivalry by slamming Paul for agreeing to fight with 58-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson on November 15.
Despite that, Paul had some surprisingly nice things to say about the UFC CEO when their beef was brought up during an appearance on The Nelk Boys podcast.
“That’s where I applaud the UFC and what they’ve done for MMA as a sport,” he said.
“Their promotion, production, all of their s*** is amazing. Like, people think I hate the UFC. I don’t.
“I also have a lot of respect for his RNC [Republican National Convention] speech was amazing.
“We agree on so many things, and I think he has a great side of him. I’m sure we’d be friends maybe in this life, maybe in a different life.
“I just want fighters to get paid more, that’s it. $12,000 (£9,400) to fight. Even if they fought four times a year, that’s not enough to support their family.”
A few days earlier, White tried to clear up a rumour about him offering Mike Perry the chance to re-sign for the UFC if he was able to beat Paul.
The 27-year-old influencer dropped Perry three times en route to a sixth-round TKO win before calling out UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.
“Let me tell you something about the Jake Paul thing, the media just eats all his bulls*** and they actually print it,” White told TNT Sports.
“It’s the weirdest thing ever. Not only did I not tell Perry if he won, he’d get in the UFC, I haven’t even talked to Perry in a long time.
“I didn’t even know Jake Paul was fighting. I stopped paying attention to Jake Paul when he lost to [Tommy] Fury. When he fought somebody that was his age and actually boxed, he lost.
