Jаѕon Kelce Reveаlѕ 1 Teаm Tһаt Neаrly Drаfted Hіm

Jason Kelce recently called it quits on a surefire Hall-of-Fame career as the center for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 years, and fans already can’t wait to see what he does next so they can get their Kelce fix.

It has been fun to reminisce about all the great moments Kelce had as an Eagle, but Kelce recently shared how differently things could have gone way back in 2011.

Kelce recently appeared on a roundtable on NFL Network and shared how the other team that showed the most interest in him was the Kansas City Chiefs, saying, “I decided I didn’t want to watch the draft, so we all went bowling. Round 4 passes. Round 5 passes. At this point, we’re done bowling,” before he finally got the call from then-Eagles head coach Andy Reid.

This is an interesting anecdote because of how Reid eventually left to coach the Chiefs, but also obviously because Jason’s brother Travis was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round in 2013.

Who knows how things would have unfolded if the Kelce brothers were teammates in the NFL all these years?

Kansas City has done a fine job protecting Patrick Mahomes during this run of Super Bowl wins, but Jason leading the charge alongside his brother would have been fun to watch.

It’s great that Jason has a podcast because he has quickly become one of the most enjoyable athletes to listen to off the field.

Now that he’s retired, he’ll surely have many more fun stories to share about his time in the league.
