The New England Patriots are expected to have a new quarterback behind center next season.
However, even if they end up getting a generational talent, he’ll need someone to throw the football to.
That’s why veteran WR Kendrick Bourne is trying to give the front office a hand by doing some recruiting.
As reported by Mike Kadlick on Twitter, Bourne is trying to recruit San Francisco 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk to join him in Foxborough.

Notably, Aiyuk has been rumored as a potential trade candidate for weeks now.
Following the Niners’ loss in the Super Bowl, his girlfriend took to social media to make it seem like he wasn’t comfortable with his current role in the offense, with some even speculating that he would be traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Aiyuk didn’t do much to help with speculation, tweeting at Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin about a meme and fueling the rumors.
He’s coming off the best season of his career, earning second-team All-Pro honors, but he hasn’t been able to reach a deal for a contract extension in the Bay area.
The Niners could be hard-pressed to make a move.
CEO Jed York just made it loud and clear that he’s going to give Brock Purdy as much money as he demands, and he would love to get a deal done.
The Niners have a surplus of talent on both sides of the field, and some of them will be free agents either next season or in 2026, meaning they could have no choice but to part ways with Aiyuk.
