Sneed signed a four-year extension worth $76 million with the Titans following the trade. While Sneed will miss an opportunity to win a threepeat with the Titans, Sneed said he is excited to improve at his profession by competing against Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins. Per the NFL website’s transcription of Sneed’s comments on Sirius XM NFL Radio:

“To get out there and work with [Hopkins and Ridley] elite wide receivers, I never had two elite guys like them, going up against them every day,” Sneed said this week on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “I had great players, but them two guys, household names, they stick out. I can’t wait to get to work with those guys.

I know they’re gonna make me better in practice, and I can’t wait to pick both of their brains on how to get better. What they see. What my weakness is from their eyes and not from other guys I’ve been playing with for four years. I want new guys looking from the outside in.”

Sneed appears to take a shot at the Kansas City Chiefs

Sneed is really twisting the knife in the Chiefs’ back with his words about the Titans’ wideouts. The Chiefs led the league in drops last season, and their wide receiver corps has been subpar since Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins.

The Chiefs’ best wide receiver last season, Rashee Rice, was involved in a speed-racing crash last weekend. It’s unclear what his status will be for the upcoming season. The Chiefs are expected to draft a wide receiver early in this year’s draft.

Sneed could get better after working against Hopkins and Ridley

Sneed will hope iron sharpens iron between the Titans receivers and secondary this season. The Titans need to improve in a few places this offseason if they want to compete with the Chiefs on the field for the 2024 season.
