Tua Tagovailoa continues to get noticed both on and off the field, this time ranking among the league’s best according to EA Sports, Madden 25.
Last week, EA Sports released their player ratings for this year’s installment of Madden 25, and fans all over the globe have been in a tizzy because their favorite players aren’t rated as they had hoped.
I’m no different—I’ll admit it. And, like most years, there are a handful of players who could be rated differently. (Don’t worry; I will do a write-up on Miami’s highest-rated players and my thoughts on the rest of the roster #soon!) But for now, I want to discuss the elephant in the room. And that is quite simply that for the first time in a long time, YOUR Miami Dolphins have one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
A quarterback who is among the NFL’s #elite.
A top-10 quarterback, to be exact.
And for those of us who play Madden yearly, this is a great day.
Here’s a look at the top-10 quarterbacks in Madden 25.

Obviously, the highest-rated quarterback in the game is Kansas City Chiefs gunslinger Patrick Mahomes — who is a 99 overall — and rightfully so. He’s the best player to play the position that I’ve ever seen, and that includes OUR G.O.A.T Dan Marino, but I already wrote that article once before. Regardless of where he ranks all-time, in the year 2024, he’s the best. 1 of 1, like a holographic, first-edition Charizard.
Next on the list, at No.2, is Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, with a 98 overall. This isn’t even a surprise, given how dangerous he is. However, what I can’t get over and have to eye emoji is who they have as the third-ranked quarterback.
Instead of Josh Allen, a player who appears to be from another planet and unstoppable vs. Miami, EA Sports has Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow ranked third with a 97 overall rating. Yes, it might be a coin flip, and if Burrow was healthy, things would be much different. But for as much as I dislike the Buffalo Bills, I have to respect Josh Allen. And I don’t think he belongs under Burrow.
At No.5 is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, with a 90 overall. Does he belong above guys like Justin Herbert, Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts, and Tua Tagovailoa? I’ll let you decide. But I’m not going to be upset—because after Prescott is something I never thought we’d see, and that is a Miami Dolphins quarterback.
Yes, that’s right.
Tuanigamanuolepola Donny Tagovailoa is the sixth highest-rated quarterback in Madden 25 with an 88 overall. Here’s a look at all of his attributes, including his superstar abilities, which include Fearless and Sideline Deadeye.
