Packers’ 11-Game Starter Suffers New Hamstring Injury (Report)

The Green Bay Packers feel like they can be a championship contender in 2024 as long as health is on their side.  The Packers finished the 2023 season playing like one of the best all around teams in the league.  Over their final 10 games, Green Bay went 7-3, which included their massive playoff victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

If the Packers can start the 2024 season the way they ended last season, they will be tough to beat.  However, their defense will need to overcome a new hamstring injury.

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:

(Kingsley) Enagbare missed practice with a hamstring injury.

It wasn’t about who lined up where or who made the big play at the open OTA practice in May. It was Kingsley Enagbare’s presence on the practice field that boosted the depth of that unit.

In January, it was believed that Enagbare had torn his ACL in the Packers’ playoff win over Dallas. Matt LaFleur, however, explained that this wasn’t true following the NFL Draft:

“He’s still fighting his way back,” LaFleur said. “It was never confirmed it was an ACL. He did not have surgery. He’s still rehabbing through it, and we’re still optimistic about it.”

Getting Enagbare healthy will certainly be a priority for this defense in 2024. If he is able to stay on the field and develop into a full time starter, Green Bay’s pass rush will be extremely deep.
