Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft recently returned to practice. He has been with a pectoral injury during the offseason that has sidelined him for the start of training camp. Kraft will not play in any preseason games this year.

Green Bay will face the Cleveland Browns on Saturday in the first of three preseason games this year. Tucker Kraft will be the second tight end on the roster this season. Luke Musgrave will be the Packers starting tight end this season. They both were rookies who contributed a season ago.

At this point, it is about Kraft getting ready for the NFL season and not worrying about him playing in any preseason action. The first game of the season for Green Bay will be on Friday, September 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. It will be a big game to start the 2024 season.

Kraft spoke to packers.com senior writer Wes Hodklewicz and mentioned how he is trying to get ready for the 2024 season, Tucker Kraft added:

“Right now, we’re just in a ramp-up period, so over the next two weeks there will be more and more. I was in the (Hutson Center) for the last three weeks and just grinding in there. Trying to get as familiar with contact again as possible. Working in those weird positions. Positions I don’t want to be in. But just working through those and see if they cause pain. We’re progressing really well.”

Getting ramped up will be important for Kraft to be in game shape for the 2024 season. He also added to the media:

“The end goal is Brazil, and that’s what we’ve got our mind on. It’s a ramp-up period of the next few days to go and then the next two weeks I’ll just get more and more and more and more into the offense and as far as comfortability with my injury. I’m confident, I feel safe, I feel strong, God gave us all the ability to endure and that’s what I’m doing right now.”

It will be interesting to see when the Packers go with two tight end sets this season with Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft. They will want to try and implement that in the practice plan before the season starts.
