Patrick Mahomes gets snubbed on the NFL Top 100 list: What was his ranking?

Despite winning three super bowls in the last five seasons and having over the chart statistics and performances throughout his career, with a 2024 season that was probably not up there like others he still led the Kansas City Chiefs to another Vince Lombardi trophy, Patrick Mahomes was not voted number one in the Top100 Players for 2024.

NFL Top 100 Players of 2023: Patrick Mahomes is ranked No. 1

While the players themselves vote for themselves, in this case it is very interesting to know Mahomes was not even selected in the top three of the list published by NFL Network. It was his former teammate and now Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill who was voted the number one of all.

In number two came Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback and in number three it was San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey the one taking that spot. Completing the top five, it was Myles Garrett, defensive end for the Cleveland Browns.

It seems not everybody likes Patrick Mahomes

While the league has been taken by storm by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs ever since he came into the league and took the starting job for the team, his accomplishments are undoubtedly amazing, but his demeaner might not be the favorite for the rest of the league.

After recording a great performance in the past Super Bowl, the Chiefs captain joined a select list of five quarterbacks with at least three championships. Tom Brady (7), Joe Montana (4), Terry Bradshaw (4), Troy Aikman (4), the latter and Mahomes, are the only ones who achieved it before turning 30.

Patrick Mahomes not only surpassed Brady in this stat. He also left him behind with two MVP Awards in the Super Bowl, 15 games won in the Playoffs and 260 completed passes during the regular season and postseason.
