Patrick Mahomes’ teammate laughs at NFL after losing top spot in the Top 100

Patrick Mahomes was shocking ranked as the fourth-best NFL player on August 2 and not even as the best quarterback in the league, leading to one of his Kansas City Chiefs‘ teammates to laugh at the decision.

Ex-Chiefs star Tyreek Hill recalls time Patrick Mahomes called out teammates: 'He was letting me have it' | Fox News

The Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill, the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and the San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey were all placed above the Super Bowl-winning quarterback and Drue Tranquill was not having any of it.

Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes attempts blindfolded trick play

“NFL has jokes,” Tranquill posted simply on X.com, formerly Twitter, making his thoughts on the matter abundantly clear as Mahomes dropped from #1 to #4 despite claiming his third career ring.

The 28-year-old, who recently announced he is expecting his third child with his wife, threw for 4183 yards, 27 touchdowns and a pass completion percentage 67.2% from 597 attempts as he inspired the Chiefs to victory at Super Bowl LVIII.

He was only sacked 27 times and intercepted 14 times showing that despite the Chiefs’ receiver issues as Travis Kelce lost form, he remained supreme in terms of his own performance, maintaining a 92.6% passer rating.

Mahomes’ postseason performance was impressive too as he recorded 1051 yards, a 69.8% completion rate and six touchdowns from four games highlighting how clutch he turned out to be as he threw the season-ending touchdown to Mecole Hardman.

Perhaps it was the decline of numbers from 2022, when he threw for 5250 yards, 41 touchdowns and a passing completion percentage of 67.1% from 648 attempts that caused the optics to shift on him, but that ignored the receiver problems he faced.
