Patrick Queen responds to ex-Ravens teammate’s Steelers jab

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen is making sure the rivalry between them and the Baltimore Ravens stays alive, as he recently responded to his former teammate, Arthur Maulet, taking a jab at him. At training camp, Queen mentioned how Pittsburgh and Baltimore are different, and that he’s siding with everything that his current city offers, most notably the food.

Maulet heard what Queen said, and responded to reporters saying “P.Q., we know the food is not better, bro. We know the city is not better, bro. Come on, come on now,” via the Ravens’ website.

Queen then responded on X, formerly Twitter, with “We in camp and y’all still bringing up my food takes” with a meme that says in bold letters “Rent Free.”

We in camp and yall still bringing up my food takes😂

Queen was initially asked about the decision to move on from the Ravens, but still stay in the division and sign with the Steelers.

“At the end of the day, money makes you happy, but you also have to win to be happy,” Queen told The Athletic. “I’d rather win and be happy than be miserable with a lot of money. It’s a better atmosphere here for me. Everybody is cool, the people are cool, the players are cool and the food spots are better. I am a big food guy. I love food. I am more of a true food guy rather than a seafood guy. I like meat and stuff like that. It’s just a better atmosphere for me here.”

Things in the AFC North can always get chippy when those four teams go up against each other, as history has shown. For Queen and Maulet, they made sure to have fun banter, and there was probably no bad blood since they were on the same team at one point.

Maulet posted on X, formerly Twitter, and mentioned Queen saying that’s his “brudda 4L” and that of course he was going to troll him.

@Patrickqueen_ my brudda 4L of course imma troll him lol it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t

When these two teams face each other, it might not be as nice as Queen and Maulet are playing on social media. Both teams will be looking to take the divisional crown, especially with the talent that they have. The Steelers added Russell Wilson and Justin Fields to their quarterback room in the offseason to boost their offense, while the defense has continuously been one of the NFL’s best year after year.

The Ravens will be trying to build off of last season’s success, finishing with the league’s best record and making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, but losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens also added an important piece to their offense, running back Derrick Henry, and their defense has also been good under head coach John Harbaugh.
