Jennifer Pedranti reacted to Emily Simpson’s “dig” about “swinging on a pole” following Jennifer’s eviction, and she also revealed more details surrounding her drama with Gina Kirschenheiter on Real Housewives of Orange County.
Before the season, Gina helped Jennifer get a rental house. After the eviction — which happened, according to Jennifer, because her ex was behind on payments – Gina accused her of trying to sabotage her reputation as a real estate agent. Her friend Emily later said that, if she were in a similar situation, she would do whatever it takes to provide for her children, and this includes “swinging on a pole.”
“What a dig, right? That was hurtful,” said Jennifer on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “I always say I respect Emily, and I kind of look up to her as a woman. I find her to be very smart and successful, and she loves her husband, and she loves those kids. She’s a great mom. So to look up to someone and to be so cut, because I don’t have what you have or because I’m not in such a great spot, you know, doesn’t make me dumb. It doesn’t make me less than a woman and it does not make me less than a mom.”
“I am not afraid to hustle, and I am not afraid to work. And I would do anything for my kids. So that was not easy,” Jennifer went on.
But the star shared that she and Gina are in a good place.
“I’ll say this –– Gina is a good girl, and we’ve [had] that conversation now, and that’s not the spot we sit in today,” she shared. Though Gina had previously “come so hard at” Jennifer, they eventually patched things up.
“If I would have only known she was going through this in her personal life, I didn’t know at the time. I don’t know if I was an outlet. I don’t know what it was. I’m sure there was genuine frustration for her. But yeah, Gina came hard for sure,” Jennifer added, alluding to Gina’s boyfriend Travis moving out.
“It’s hard to watch it, because in the episode, I feel like I’m constantly going around like, ‘Oh yeah, Gina, helped me! Oh yeah Gina, helped me!’ And Gina’s so taken aback, personally, about me being evicted from the house. All I can say is that was a really hard time –– a really hard time,” she continued.
But Jennifer shared that she “was in communication with the owner of the home” when everything went down, and the owner was “great” about recognizing the difficulty of the situation.
“That was important to me to maintain that [relationship], for my friendship with Gina. So to be like, ‘Oh, I didn’t care?’ Oh God, I so cared! I would never take a woman’s career or go at another woman’s career. So watching that part was hard,” the star explained.
During the episode, Gina told Jennifer to “grow up” and “figure out how to take care of yourself and your children.”
“She’s a joke! If you want to do this weird s–t, I’m not doing it! Thank you, goodbye. You’re pathetic!” Gina added at the time. “Take care of yourself and your f–king kids or drown, but don’t f–king run me over with your bulls–t. F–k this girl! F–k this girl!”
