Steelers’ Nick Herbig Admits James Harrison Shared Some Game-Changing Secrets With Him After Practice

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Nick Herbig in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Although Herbig didn’t start any games in his rookie season, he still made a significant impact. He came through with crucial plays in key moments, helping the Steelers secure victories. Herbig ended his rookie season with three sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 27 combined tackles, proving his potential to Pittsburgh in limited action.

Excitement around Herbig is high. When T.J. Watt was injured in Week 18 against the Baltimore Ravens, Steelers fans knew the challenge of playing without Watt. However, they were eager to see Herbig step up in the postseason. While that didn’t fully materialize, Herbig’s performance throughout the season gave fans a glimpse of his promising future.

Steelers legend James Harrison has also been making his presence felt at training camp, showing up as a proud alumnus of the team. Several videos of Harrison, looking as intimidating as ever, have gone viral during camp.

Early on, a clip surfaced of Harrison teaching Herbig some of his secret moves. After Thursday’s walkthrough practice, Herbig spoke to the media, sharing what it was like to be coached by Harrison.

“He’s a great guy, great football player,” Herbig said. “Just him taking the time out of his day to show me some stuff after practice. It was only like 10 minutes, but I learned so much in that 10 minutes from a legend.”
