Just about 12 months ago, two franchises would change completely when Aaron Rodgers was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.
The trade has played out as the Packers received.
2023 13th pick: DE Lukas Van Ness
2023 42nd pick: TE Luke Musgrave
2023 207th pick: K Anders Carlson
2024 45th pick: LB Edgerrin Cooper
2024 111th pick: S Evan Williams (plus 126th pick used in trade-up)
2024 163rd pick: OL Jacob Monk (plus 219th pick used in trade-up)
The New York Jets received.
QB Aaron Rodgers
2023 15th pick: OLB Will McDonald
2023 204th pick: CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse
2023 220th pick: TE Zack Kuntz.
The Green Bay Packers obviously moved on from their franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers to hand the keys to Jordan Love, a first-round pick by the Packers out of Utah State.
Love shined in his first year as the full-time starter, with 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns, and upset the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs.
As for Aaron Rodgers and the Jets, it was not nearly as successful, Rodgers got injured in his first game for the New York Jets, injuring his Achilles in the first drive vs the Buffalo Bills, ending his first season with the Jets before it even began.
