The Golden Bachelor‘s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced the ending of their marriage in April and have both been trying to move on with their lives. Gerry, a 72-year-old retired restaurateur, and Theresa, a 70-year-old day trader, met during the first season of TheBachelor spin-off. The two widows hit it off right away and spent the season getting closer. During the final rose ceremony, Gerry proposed to Theresa, and she accepted.
Gerry and Theresa wasted no time planning their lavish televised Golden Bachelor wedding, which took place a few weeks after they went public with their relationship. In hindsight, Gerry and Theresa probably shouldn’t have rushed to get married since they announced their divorce three months after the wedding. Since joining the cast of The Golden Bachelor, Gerry has been a regular contributor to Instagram. That changed after The Golden Bachelor couple settled their divorce in late June, and Gerry stopped posting on Instagram. After two weeks of radio silence, Gerry finally ended his Instagram break and posted photos from his recent vacation. In the photos, Gerry had a great time with friends. “It has been a couple weeks since returning from Orange Beach AL with my closest and most trusted friends,” Gerry wrote in his caption.
“Two vacation weeks filled with golf, pickleball, beach time, biking, great southern food, and the Blue Angels. What a great time, thanks to the best friends a guy could have.”

In June 2023, Gerry posted a photo wearing a graphic tee shirt that read, “Indiana. It’s Not That Bad.” The Golden Bachelor season 1 star’s joke was likely about Theresa famously refusing to move to Indiana, which is ultimately what led to the end of The Golden Bachelor’s marriage.
Gerry was obviously sending Theresa a very clear message.
