The six times Chiefs’ Harrison Butker made winning field goal or forced OT in playoffs

The Chiefs on Monday rewarded Harrison Butker for a career full of big kicks by giving him a new four-year deal.

Butker is second on the NFL career list for field-goal percentage, having made 89.14% of his attempts. That’s behind Justin Tucker of the Ravens (90.18%).

With 32 career postseason field goals, Butker is fourth on the NFL’s all-time list, tied with Gary Anderson. Adam Vinatieri (56) is No. 1, followed by Stephen Gostkowski (41) and David Akers (39).

Butker has made some clutch kicks in his career. That includes six field goals that either won a playoff game or forced overtime. Here’s a closer look.

2018 AFC Championship Game

Butker forced overtime with a 39-yard kick that pulled the Chiefs into a 31-31 tie with the Patriots. The Chiefs lost in overtime, but they never touched the ball.

2021 AFC Divisional Game

The famous 13-second game wouldn’t mean much to Chiefs fans if Butker hadn’t made that 49-yard field goal to force overtime against the Bills.

The Chiefs blew a 21-3 lead against the Bengals and lost in overtime. There wouldn’t have been an extra period if Butker hadn’t made a 44-yard field goal at the end of regulation.

A year later, Butker again made a kick at the final gun against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium. This one was from 45 yards out and sent the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVII

This is the biggest moment in Butker’s career. His 27-yard field goal gave the Chiefs a 38-35 win over the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
