It finally happened. Tom Schwartz has officially moved out of his Los Angeles apartment.
The Vanderpump Rules cast member shared the big news via Instagram on Thursday (August 1), roughly two years after he secured the “transitional home.” Tom posted two videos of him sitting in the bare living room while enjoying a lunch sandwich with some iced tea and a bottle of Miller Lite.

“One of the top ten beers of all time: the ‘I just finished moving beer,’” he captioned the Story. “Last meal in the old place here.”
After highlighting the lunch, Tom provided a look at the nearly empty apartment unit, which contained just a few bar stools and several boxes on the kitchen countertops.
“Wait, I feel like I owed it to you guys to share the first sip of the ‘I just moved’ beer, a goated beer, for sure,” he said in a subsequent video. Tom proceeded to take a swig of his drink, before letting out a satisfied, “Ahhh, delicious.”
Tom Schwartz says he wants to “downsize” to “a cool little loft”
Tom teased the move in a July 31 Instagram post, which showed large storage containers, moving boxes, and IKEA bags placed throughout his pad. “Onwards and upwards,” he captioned the Story, followed by the praying hands emoji.
The Minnesota native hasn’t shared any information on his new living situation but began hinting at the move several months ago. He spoke about his plans during the May 16 episode of Balancing Act, a podcast hosted by The Valley’s Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick.
“I’m thinking about downsizing slightly,” he revealed. “Maybe like a cool little loft. First of all, I’ve always wanted to live in a loft, like a cool artist loft. I found a really cool one in the Valley. I was thinking about possibly downsizing while I build my house in Florida.”
Is Tom Schwartz moving in with Tom Sandoval?
Tom also said he wasn’t committed to moving in with his Vanderpump Rules castmate, Tom Sandoval, who proposed the idea in Vanderpump Rules Season 11. Although Tom Schwartz was seemingly open to living in Tom Sandoval’s Valley Village home, he told Kristen and Luke he had his reservations.
“The optics of me moving in with Sandoval are not good for my personal growth and everything,” he explained. “I don’t mind helping my buddy out either… but it for sure wouldn’t be anything long-term. As much as we love each other, and we’ve had very healthy conversations about this, we’re like, ‘Dude, I don’t really wanna live with you.’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t wanna live with you either.’”
