PATRICK Mahomes appears to have found his doppelganger.
Nebraska’s freshman quarterback, Dylan Raiola, has gone viral after being snapped arriving at camp.
The 19-year-old rocked up to Nebraska’s facility with a goatee and haircut almost identical to the styles Mahomes usually sports.
To top it off, Raiola even had a pair of sunglasses eerily similar to the kind Mahomes has previously been seen wearing.
Mahomes’ former Kansas City Chiefs teammate Tyreek Hill was all too keen to point out the similarities.
“Boy ain’t no way @PatrickMahomes,” Hill said, retweeting the snap of Raiola.
“That’s my lil cuzzo,” commented Mahomes.
Raiola’s viral snap continued to garner attention on X after ESPN’s Adam Schefter also reshared it.
“Five-star QB Dylan Raiola pulled up to Nebraska camp looking like Patrick Mahomes,” he said.
“Why does he look more like Patrick Mahomes than Patrick Mahomes?” one fan asked.
“Because he is the next Patrick Mahomes,” suggested a second.
“They are twins,” added another.
While a fourth replied, “The kid knows how to go viral.”
As it turns out, the comparisons between Raiola and Mahomes don’t stop there.
In December 2023, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule discussed the now-freshman star in an appearance on the Zach Gelb Show.
“You can tell he wears 15 (Mahomes’ number). He patterns a lot of his game after Patrick Mahomes,” Rhule said.
“While there is only one Patrick Mahomes, Dylan certainly has worked on making all of the off-platform throws.”
In fact, Mahomes and Raiola even planned to train together after his first semester, via On3.
Raiola is the son of former Detroit Lions offensive lineman Dominic.
A second-round draft pick out of Nebraska in 2001, he spent 13 years in Detroit making 219 appearances.
Dominic’s former teammate, and current Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, is Dylan’s godfather.
Dylan’s first shot at college football will come on August 31 when they host UTEP.
