In July, AMC announced a collaboration with Netflix to add several of the network’s original series, including spinoffs of The Walking Dead, to the streamer. Netflix has been the home of all eleven seasons of The Walking Dead, a deal that will continue under the current agreement until 2027, at which time it could be extended.
The collaboration will begin on August 19, when Netflix subscribers will gain access to 13 AMC series. This will include the first seasons of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, Monsieur Spade, The Dirty Black Bag, and The Terror. Additionally, the first and second seasons of Dark Winds, Gangs of London, and Kevin Can F*** Himself will be added, as will seasons 1-3 of A Discovery of Witches, Into the Badlands, and four seasons of Preacher.
The Walking Dead – 11 seasons
As mentioned above, all eleven seasons of The Walking Dead are currently available to stream. The series, based on the comic story created by Robert Kirkman, is set in an undead apocalypse and follows the survivors as they battle the undead and the real threat, the living.
Fear the Walking Dead – 8 seasons – beginning August 19
The first spinoff of the main series, Fear the Walking Dead, aired on AMC for eight seasons. The pilot debuted in 2015 with a story that started at the onset of the outbreak. Fear TWD is set in the same world as the main series but this story began in Los Angeles. Throughout its eight season run the series often changed locations with the final season taking place in Georgia.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – 1 season – beginning August 19
The fifth spinoff of the main series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, premiered its first season in 2023. This series focuses on the titular character portrayed by Norman Reedus and continues his story in an overseas adventure to France. Season 2 will feature the return of Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier.
